Change can only effectively take place by a process. The value is often to be got from the process as distinct from the end result. Change involves the following steps.
1. Divergence
All over the place
2. Convergence
Getting your head together
3. Emergence
New beginning
Drama in change happens, because of the paradox of maintaining consistency while still needing to change. Change must continue while the day to day commercial job is taking place.
Most businesses are in a process of continuous change and a drive towered excellence as expressed by their Missionand Quality Standards. But this end-picture is often expressed in vague terms like —- better communications, which the troops find difficulty getting their heads around. You must speak their language.
People don’t necessarily resist change. It’s the pain of its implementation which is resisted.

Successful change manifests itself by the attitude and energy of the troops. Fear and greed are great motivators. Celebrate small victories that represent steps towards theMission and have consequences for those that hinder this journey.
Success can breed failure, because many businesses become institutionalised to their original success formula, while their trading environment keeps changing. Make sure your Business Model reflects the changing mood of your Market.
